Metric O-Rings are employed in specialized applications and, like the name suggests, are standardized by metric dimensions. With a wide variety of sizes available, Metric O-Rings fill in the gaps left by the standardized AS568 o-ring chart. Metric O-Ring sizing is determined by the o-ring's inside diameter and cross section width. Viton is also known as: Fluorocarbon and FKM. Viton® is a registered trademarks of DuPont® Dow Elastomers.

A fluoroelastomer compound with a combination of exceptional mechanical properties and compression set resistance. This particular energizer gives an O-ring excellent memory and the ability to recover rapidly from deformation. This core has a Shore A hardness of 75 with a suggested operating temperature range of -10°F to +300°F (-23°C to +150°C) in encapsulated applications. For more information, please see: Comparison Properties Chart, PTFE Encapsulated O-rings, Material Shelf Life, and O-ring Groove Design Chart.
